Delicious garden treats from scratch!
Last night we welcomed a group of college students to the Edible Schoolyard at the Greensboro Children’s Museum. The UNCG students are studying science teaching methods for middle school and the Bennett College students are in a science and math methods class for elementary teachers. They experienced an edible education, harvesting seasonal food and preparing it in our teaching kitchen. We are excited to have more teachers and future teachers visit the garden and teaching kitchen. Hands on, tasty lab work helps students of all ages engage in learning and the Edible Schoolyard team aims to engage all five senses in learning about the seed to table cycle.
